Help Me Decorate....

...because I can't do it myself.
I would like to decorate my room, but I have all the style sensibility of a pork chop. I know there are at least a few of you creative types out there, so I'm calling in the troops.
Here are the details of the room:
- Not sure of the exact measurements, but an average sized bedroom.
- One window - tall, double paned with boring white blinds.
- Walls, beige, with a hint of pink, I think.
- Carpet; so boring, I can't really remember the colour.. beige-y, I assume.
- A rental, so no painting, and no changing the carpets, as well as no massive holes in the wall, especially since I already took out a gash trying to hang a picture.
- Furniture includes a double bed with a headboard in light wood and silver (I think I will paint the wood in the headboard black, but I haven't gotten to it yet), a set of dresser drawers, painted black (did it myself, yay!), and a book case with 3 shelves, in dark wood, also, a hope chest recently acquired from home, which is medium colour wood, but I have a piece of black fabric overtop it, with a mannequin bust I bought at a giant yardsale (which I totally love, but have no idea what to do with. Oh, also a dark blue Ikea chair.
- The only real colour in my room, beside the chair, are my duvet covers, which I use on a rotating basis... One is black and white with a neat, crazy pattern from Ikea, a flowery so-no-my-style purple/beige on one side/grey on the other, and a dark blue one passed down from my sistah.
So, here are some of my ideas. Keep in mind I'm totally broke and am lazy (ha!), so everything has to be cheap and easy. Consider your budget to be under $100.
I was thinking of buying some
Bliks, which are stick-on funky decals that peel off. I am particular partial to the reusable ones, since I am pretty non-committal when it comes to decor/blog design (note the rotating colour scheme!)
3M Hooks are great. They have that removeable adhesive, meaning I can use them to put up pictures, etc. I was particularly interested in using hooks to put up some sort of window treatment around my window, though I wasn't sure if I should either a) get some fabric and simply swag the material around into the hooks, or b) use a dowel or something with the hooks, and put up an actual, you know, curtain. The hooks have a capacity of I think 3 lbs each.
So, all you that were complain I hadn't posted in a while...HA! Now you have homework!
If anyone actually wanted to take this on as a project, I'd, oh, I don't know, buy you supper or something. :) I can also post pictures for you out-of-towners, if you'd like more of a context.

Just as test, as the blogger commenting system has been acting a bit wonky. I've taken off the word verification, so hopefully that'll fix the problem! In the meantime, help me decorate!!
I'm willing to take on the decorating challenge! what do you say, you me - a shopping trip to Rooms to Remember (is that the name of the place?) and a full afternoon/evening? e-mail me at work and let me know!
Jenn, you know I'm always here to help. So, you fly me out to Freddie, and I will make your room beautiful on a $100 budget. Deal?
Hey. I say go with a scheme for the furniture, like all black, and then bring in colour with your "accents", blankets, pillows, pictures and stuff.
